The Government has made education its top priority. Education services have been identified as one of six industries where Hong Kong enjoys distinct advantages and the aim is to enhance the city's status and competitiveness as a regional education hub. The 2011-12 budget allocated 22.5 per cent of recurrent government expenditure, or $54.5 billion (US$7 billion), to education.
Our aim is to nurture students to become balanced individuals with a broad knowledge base and a capacity for lifelong learning, ready to venture into new frontiers of knowledge and face the challenges of a rapidly changing world.
