10:00AM HKT Connecting the dots … Hong Kong’s unique role as Asia’s financial powerhouse
Hong Kong’s role as a global financial centre has been called into question due to social unrest in 2019 and ongoing geopolitical tensions between the US and China. But, a close look shows there is no other place in Asia that connects the dots as much as Hong Kong does for fund raising, wealth management, insurance, banking, fintech, globalization of the RMB and as a brain bank for deal making. Hong Kong remains the unique financial services connecting point between China and the world, and vice versa. How will the market develop in a more polarized world? What are the threats and opportunities for Hong Kong’s role as a global financial centre?

Art is no longer confined to high-end galleries or wealthy collectors. Creative elements are increasingly weaved into daily life, enriching the urban living experience for residents and visitors. Where once museums reigned supreme, now art-meets-retail malls are emerging as creative hotspots, while gallery owners have always adapted and evolved to changing tastes and habits. How far will it go? Why do people crave art? Can art survive in a money-making world?

11:30AM HKT Enhancing City Values through Art
As one of the world’s most densely populated cities, Hong Kong has introduced strict measures to curb the spread of COVID-19 – but has so far avoided the total lockdown seen in other major economies. It’s a constant, three-way tussle between protecting public health, minimizing economic fallout and managing public acceptance. What are the health lessons learnt? How do you keep public transport running smoothly and safely? How does a global hospitality brand cope across cultures and continents?
