Organised by the General Administration of Sport of China once every four years, the National Games of the People’s Republic of China (NG) is the country’s highest-level and largest national multi-sports event. The 15th NG will be co-hosted by Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao for the first time. The three sides will also co-host the 12th National Games for Persons with Disabilities of the People’s Republic of China (NGD) and the 9th National Special Olympic Games (NSOG), to be held from December 8 to 15. Elite athletes from different provinces, municipalities and special administrative regions will gather in the three places to vie for top honours in different events.
The 15th NG will feature competition events for 34 sports and mass participation events for 23 sports. The 15th National Games (Hong Kong) will stage eight competition events, namely basketball (men U22), track cycling, fencing, golf, handball (men), rugby sevens, triathlon and beach volleyball, as well as one mass participation event, which is bowling. Besides, athletics marathon and road cycling events, which will be organised by Shenzhen and Zhuhai respectively, are being planned to run through Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao to showcase the integrated development of the three places.
The upcoming NGD and NSOG will cover 37 and 9 sports respectively, amounting to 46 sports altogether. The 15th National Games (Hong Kong) will stage four competition events: boccia, wheelchair fencing and table tennis (TT11) for the NGD, and table tennis for the NSOG. In addition, Hong Kong will organise one mass participation event of para dance sport.

Spanning more than 65 years, the Link Hong Kong Open is the longest-running international sporting event in Hong Kong and one of Asia’s most prestigious golf championships. The tournament is the eighth stop on The International Series, which provides a pathway to the LIV Golf League. The exciting short-format cricket tournament, the Hong Kong Sixes, returns to the city this November, staging 29 games over three days of hard-hitting action. Teams from cricketing powerhouses, including the world number one team, India, the world number two team Australia, and other teams such as Sri Lanka, Pakistan and South Africa will compete for the title at Tin Kwong Road Recreation Ground. The tournament will provide a venue for families to enjoy the sport and have a fun weekend together.

Hong Kong Film Awards Best Picture Twilight of the Warriors: Walled In is not just a story of the Walled City; it is also a Hong Kong story. The classic sets of the film are now located on the original sites of the Walled City – the present Kowloon Walled City Park. To re-create daily life in the Walled City, this movie set exhibition has been meticulously crafted with immersive designs and elements of traditional crafts. Visitors can also experience the sights and sounds of airplanes flying low over the Walled City through large projections.

In the vast expanse of Chinese history, Tang dynasty (618–907) is a dazzling star. Literature and art flourished, resulting in the creation of timeless works of poetry, prose, music, dance, calligraphy, painting and sculpture. Society was characterised by an openness and cultural integration unique to this era. The exhibition features altogether 298 pieces/sets of exhibits which are drawn from 28 cultural institutions in 10 provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities in Chinese Mainland and 29 important archaeological finds dated to Tang dynasty unearthed in Hong Kong.

Tai Kwun’s summer show, Undercover Underworld, presents reproductions of memorable moments from eight classic Hong Kong undercover films into interactive installations, manuscripts, awards and trophies.
