Congrats to the winners of the Elevator Pitch Competition (EPiC) 2024 Grand Finale at Sky100, Hong Kong (Apr 26). After a series of four semi-finals held in Hong Kong, Silicon Valley, Stuttgart, and Singapore, the biggest ever Grand Finale featured presentations by more than 70 start-ups from around the world, including 15 from Hong Kong. German company tozero GmbH, emerged as the overall champion and also won the MobilityTech Category award with its innovative lithium-ion battery recycling plant solution.

48th Hong Kong International Film Festival

French May Arts Festival 2024

The French May Arts Festival 2024 celebrates art lovers with fabulous cultural events that savour the joys of French heritage. The Hong Kong Jockey Club Series: Noir & Blanc — A Story of Photography, a first–ever partnership between French May and M+, features hundreds of black and white photographs from the collections of Bibliothèque nationale de France and M+. Other programmes cover classical music, dance to drama, and even acrobatics, offering more than a hundred programmes for the audience.

Thousands of fans cheered Mexican Abraham Ancer’s victory at the debut LIV Golf at the Hong Kong Golf Club (Mar 8 – 10), after a thrilling play-off win over Paul Casey and Cameron Smith. Featuring 54 top golfers, including 14 major champions, competing for a share of the total US$25 million prize money, the tournament was broadcast to some 110 countries and regions and welcomed visitors from some 30 countries and regions, reaffirming Hong Kong’s reputation as a hub for mega sports events in Asia.

Hong Kong Marathon 2024

Hong Kong Marathon 2024 returns as a full-scale event with the runner quota raised to 74,000 for the Marathon, Half-Marathon, 10km and Wheelchair Races. The city-wide sporting event will be concurrently held with the Asian Marathon Championships, affirming Hong Kong's status as a centre for major international sports event. Top runners from nearly 45 Asian countries and regions will be invited to compete in Hong Kong.

Bank of China Hong Kong Tennis Open 2024

The ATP tour returns to Hong Kong for the first time in 21 years with top players lined up for the Hong Kong Tennis Open 2024. Congratulations to Andrey Rublev as the World No.5 player was crowned singles champion with a 6-4, 6-4 victory over Emil Ruusuvuori, while Marcelo Arevalo and Mate Pavic won the doubles by beating Sander Gille and Joran Vliegen in straight sets in the final. 

AIA Carnival 2024

Thai Phachara Khongwatmai and Canadian Richard T Lee finished tied for 3rd place after an exciting climax to the city’s oldest professional sports event.

The largest scientific conference of heart rhythm in the Asia-Pacific region returns to Hong Kong after the event was last held in the city in 2013. “Cartier and Women” Special Exhibition

The exhibition features approximately 300 stunning treasures created by Cartier, showcasing jewellery, timepieces, precious objects, accessories and archival records from the 19th century to the present day. Unveiling fascinating stories of the close relationship between women and jewellery, it highlights how Chinese art, along with art from other parts of the world, has inspired the jeweller in terms of style and decorative motifs, as well as techniques and materials.
