The Government has various schemes to facilitate the entry of talent and professionals. The Quality Migrant Admission Scheme aims to attract highly skilled or talented persons to settle in Hong Kong.
Overseas, Macao and Taiwan professionals with skills, knowledge or experience of value to and not readily available in Hong Kong may apply to come to work under the General Employment Policy.
Mainland professionals may apply to enter Hong Kong for employment under the Admission Scheme for Mainland Talents and Professionals.
The Admission Scheme for the Second Generation of Chinese Hong Kong Permanent Residents facilitates the second generation of emigrated Chinese Hong Kong permanent residents from overseas to return to work in Hong Kong; and Immigration Arrangements for Non-local Graduates enables non-local graduates to stay and work in Hong Kong.
A pilot Technology Talent Admission Scheme provides fast-track arrangements for eligible technology companies/institutes to admit overseas and Mainland technology talent to undertake R&D work in the areas of biotechnology, artificial intelligence, cyber security, robotics, data analytics, financial technologies and material science.
