The HK Monetary Authority will host the third Summit, including a welcome dinner, the main summit and an investment forum. Tai Hang Fire Dragon Dance 2024

Every Mid-Autumn Festival, the Tai Hang neighbourhood comes alive with a glowing dragon dance performed by over 300 people for three nights. This tradition dates back to the 19th century, when villagers used the fire dragon dance to combat a plague, accompanied by drums and gongs. Today, the Tai Hang Fire Dragon Dance is recognized as a National Intangible Cultural Heritage and continues to draw crowds to the blazing annual spectacle.


Belt and Road Summit 2024

The Adorned Body

The Hong Kong Palace Museum with the Musée des Arts Décoratifs, Paris unveiled “The Adorned Body: French Fashion and Jewellery 1770–1910 from the Musée des Arts Décoratifs, Paris”, one of the four major exhibitions in the West Kowloon Cultural District in 2024 to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and France. The Adorned Body features nearly 400 stunning items of clothing, jewellery and accessories dating from the late 18th to the early 20th century. This is first time the prestigious Paris museum’s comprehensive collection of historical French fashionwear is displayed in Asia. The exhibition also features trilingual audio guides narrated by singer and fashionista Karen Mok.

Congrats to the winners of the Elevator Pitch Competition (EPiC) 2024 Grand Finale at Sky100, Hong Kong (Apr 26). After a series of four semi-finals held in Hong Kong, Silicon Valley, Stuttgart, and Singapore, the biggest ever Grand Finale featured presentations by more than 70 start-ups from around the world, including 15 from Hong Kong. German company tozero GmbH, emerged as the overall champion and also won the MobilityTech Category award with its innovative lithium-ion battery recycling plant solution.

A Path to Glory – Jin Yong’s Centennial Memorial, Sculpted by Ren Zhe

To commemorate the 100th anniversary of the birth of renowned novelist Dr. Louis Cha's (Jin Yong), a special exhibition titled "A Path to Glory – Jin Yong's Centennial Memorial, Sculpted by Ren Zhe." has been organised. The exhibition features 22 unique sculptures of Jin Yong's iconic characters created by renowned artist Ren Zhe, along with captivating multimedia installations. The lively and spirited sculptures immerse visitors in the imaginary world of martial arts depicted in Jin Yong's beloved novels.


French May Arts Festival 2024

The French May Arts Festival 2024 celebrates art lovers with fabulous cultural events that savour the joys of French heritage. Thousands of fans cheered Mexican Abraham Ancer’s victory at the debut LIV Golf at the Hong Kong Golf Club (Mar 8 – 10), after a thrilling play-off win over Paul Casey and Cameron Smith. Hong Kong Marathon 2024

Hong Kong Marathon 2024 returns as a full-scale event with the runner quota raised to 74,000 for the Marathon, Half-Marathon, 10km and Wheelchair Races. Bank of China Hong Kong Tennis Open 2024

The ATP tour returns to Hong Kong for the first time in 21 years with top players lined up for the Hong Kong Tennis Open 2024. Congratulations to Andrey Rublev as the World No.5 player was crowned singles champion with a 6-4, 6-4 victory over Emil Ruusuvuori, while Marcelo Arevalo and Mate Pavic won the doubles by beating Sander Gille and Joran Vliegen in straight sets in the final. 


AIA Carnival 2024

Hong Kong Open 2023

Congrats to Kiwi Ben Campbell on winning the Hong Kong Open! The Queenstown-based champion overcame recent injury problems to sink a dramatic final putt on the final hole to beat Aussie star Cameron Smith by one stroke and became the first player to win the tournament since its return from a four-year pandemic-induced hiatus. Thai Phachara Khongwatmai and Canadian Richard T Lee finished tied for 3rd place after an exciting climax to the city’s oldest professional sports event.

While teams competed in an innovative format: 3 professionals accompanied by 1 amateur and winners go to team led by Captain Kristyna Napoleaova. The tournament was shortened to 36 holes due to onslaught of Typhoon Koinu.

8th Belt and Road Summit
